Tender, fall-off-the-bone baby back ribs glazed with smoky BBQ sauce are a high protein, carnivore-approved family favorite. These ribs are perfect for backyard cookouts and summer gatherings.
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and prepare a large baking sheet lined with foil for easy cleanup.
Remove the thin silver membrane from the back of the ribs for maximum tenderness and pat the ribs dry with paper towels.
Mix salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and brown sugar to make a dry rub; evenly coat the ribs on all sides with the mixture.
Tightly wrap the ribs in aluminum foil, place them meaty side up on the baking sheet, and bake for 2.5 hours until the meat is fork-tender but not falling apart.
Carefully remove the ribs from the oven and discard the foil, then generously brush both sides with BBQ sauce.
Increase oven temperature to 425°F (220°C) or preheat a grill to medium-high. Broil or grill the ribs for 8–10 minutes, watching closely, until the sauce bubbles and creates a sticky glaze.
Transfer to a cutting board, rest for 5 minutes, then slice between the bones and serve with extra sauce if desired.
