Pat the chicken breasts dry, then rub both sides with olive oil; season evenly with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Place the chicken breasts on a foil-lined baking sheet and bake on the middle rack for 20–22 minutes, avoiding overcrowding for proper heat circulation.
While the chicken is baking, set a pot with 1 inch of water to boil; place broccoli florets in a steamer basket over the pot, cover, and steam on medium-high heat for 5–6 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
Let the chicken rest for 3 minutes post-baking to retain moisture, then slice and serve alongside the steamed broccoli.
