Triple-stacked club sandwich with a mountain of fries. This high calorie lunch is for days when you need serious fuel — not a light salad.
Slice the russet potatoes lengthwise into 1/2-inch strips. Soak them in cold water for 30 minutes to remove starch.
Preheat vegetable oil in a heavy pot or deep fryer to 350°F. Drain and pat potatoes very dry.
Fry the potatoes in batches for 3–4 minutes until lightly golden, remove and drain. Raise oil to 375°F and re-fry fries until deeply golden and crisp. Season immediately with salt.
Toast all bread slices on both sides until golden but still soft at the center.
Spread mayonnaise on one side of 6 slices of bread. Layer with turkey, cheddar, lettuce, and tomato on the first slice. Top with a second bread slice (mayo side down), then layer ham and bacon. Finish with the final bread slice.
Secure each sandwich stack with picks and cut into halves or quarters as preferred.
Serve the triple-decker club sandwiches piled high with the fresh hot fries. Sprinkle freshly ground black pepper over the sandwiches for a finishing touch.
