Science says chocolate milk has the ideal recovery ratio. Stack it with protein pancakes and you've got a post workout meal that feels like a cheat day but isn't.
Blend the rolled oats in a blender until fine, then add banana, egg whites, whey protein powder, cocoa powder, low-fat milk, vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt. Blend until a smooth batter forms.
Let the batter rest for 5 minutes to thicken; this allows the oats to absorb moisture for fluffier pancakes.
Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and coat with cooking spray. Pour the batter in 1/4-cup portions, leaving space between pancakes.
Cook each pancake for about 2-3 minutes, until small bubbles form on the surface. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes or until browned and set.
Repeat with remaining batter, adjusting heat to avoid burning. Stack pancakes on plates and serve immediately with a chilled glass of chocolate milk.
