Tangdi Kebab is an aromatic Indian chicken curry that's rich in protein and full of traditional flavor. Perfect for family gatherings, this chicken dish pairs beautifully with rice or naan for a complete meal.
Pat dry the chicken drumsticks and make 2-3 deep slits in each for better marinade absorption.
In a large bowl, whisk together the yogurt, lemon juice, ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin, garam masala, cayenne, coriander, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
Add drumsticks and onion slices into the marinade, ensuring the chicken is coated evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (preferably overnight) to allow flavors to penetrate.
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Brush a baking rack with oil and arrange drumsticks evenly, letting excess marinade drip off.
Roast chicken in the oven for 25 minutes, then flip and baste with any leftover marinade. Increase oven temperature to broil and cook for another 8–10 minutes until slightly charred and cooked through (internal temperature 175°F/80°C). Rest for 5 minutes before serving.
