Nariyal Ladoo is a classic Indian sweet made by shaping flavored dough into round, bite-sized treats. This beloved dessert is a staple at festivals, weddings, and family celebrations across India.
Heat a nonstick skillet over low-medium heat and add the ghee, allowing it to melt completely.
Add the shredded coconut to the pan and toast gently for 2–3 minutes, stirring constantly so it doesn’t brown.
Pour in the sweetened condensed milk and mix well, lowering the heat if necessary to avoid sticking.
Cook the mixture for about 8–12 minutes, stirring frequently, until it thickens and pulls away from the sides of the pan; stir in cardamom powder in the last 2 minutes.
Transfer to a plate and let it cool until just warm to touch (about 10 minutes), then grease your hands with a bit of ghee and shape the dough into small balls (ladoo) about 1 inch wide.
Roll each ladoo in extra shredded coconut for a snowy coating, and let cool completely before serving.
