A recipe for Spicy Stir-fried Squid Rice Bowl—perfect when you crave a kick of heat and need to relieve stress!
Cut the squid into bite-sized pieces. Slice onion and cabbage into 1cm wide strips, and chop the green onion.
Heat 1.5 tablespoons of cooking oil in a pan over high heat. Add the green onion first and stir-fry to release its aroma and make flavorful scallion oil.
Add the prepared squid and quickly stir-fry for 1 minute over high heat to firm it up and evaporate moisture.
Add the prepared seasoning (chili powder, soy sauce, chili paste, garlic, sugar). Stir well, adjusting to medium heat so the sauce doesn't burn.
Add onion and cabbage. Briefly stir-fry over high heat for about 2 minutes to keep the vegetables crisp.
Turn off the heat, mix in sesame oil and ground pepper, then generously layer the stir-fried ingredients over warm rice to finish.
