Reduce the water to about 400ml; soak 100g of glutinous rice.
Toast the black sesame seeds in a dry pan, then let them cool.
Grind the black sesame seeds into a fine powder.
Soak the glutinous rice in water for 1 hour, then drain.
Place the soaked glutinous rice and water in a pot and bring to a boil.
Stir and cook the rice until it becomes soft and mushy.
Add the ground black sesame powder and salt, and simmer while stirring for a while longer.
Pour the finished black sesame porridge into a bowl and serve with honey or sugar if desired.
