Braised Hairtail recipe – It's the perfect hearty dish for when you're craving spicy, savory soup and a great companion for rice!
Slice the Korean radish into 1cm thick ginkgo leaf shapes. Slice the green onions and hot peppers diagonally, and prepare them.
Lay the radish slices at the bottom of the pot and pour in 250ml of rice water. Boil over high heat for about 5 minutes until the radish becomes translucent.
Meanwhile, mix together chili powder, soy sauce, minced garlic, cooking wine, sugar, and ground ginger to make the seasoning sauce.
Place the prepared hairtail on top of the boiling radish and evenly pour the seasoning sauce over it, then lower the heat to medium.
Simmer for about 10 minutes until the sauce thickens, occasionally spooning the broth over the fish so flavors soak in.
Finally, add the green onion and hot peppers, cover, and let it steam on low heat for 2 more minutes to eliminate any fishy smell.
