Cooking steps
  1. 1

Slice the green onion and chili pepper, cut the zucchini into fan shapes, and dice the other vegetables.

  2. 2

Add perilla oil to a pan and stir-fry the doenjang (Korean soybean paste).

  3. 3

When the doenjang smells nutty, add chili powder and stir-fry a little more.

  4. 4

Before the chili powder burns, add water. You can substitute with bone broth or rice rinsing water.

  5. 5

When it starts boiling, add vegetables in order based on how long they take to cook. You can add tofu at this stage if desired.

  6. 6

Once the vegetables are somewhat cooked, add minced garlic and a little beef dashida seasoning.

  7. 7

When most of the ingredients are cooked, add the rice and bring to a simmer. Taste and adjust seasoning by adding more water or additional beef dashida if needed.
